This course focuses on mastering the rules of Tajweed to ensure fluent, accurate, and beautiful Quranic recitation. Through repetition, practice, and expert guidance, students will gain confidence in applying Tajweed rules while reading the Quran.

Tajweed is the science of reciting the Quran correctly, ensuring each letter is pronounced from its proper origin (Makharaj) and with the right characteristics (Sifaat). This course is ideal for students who:

Can read the Quran fluently but want to refine their recitation.
Wish to learn and apply advanced Tajweed rules.

Recitation Style: Hafs an Asim (the most widely used Qira’ah).
Class Type: One-on-One (Personalized attention for each student).

Prerequisite: Ability to read the Quran fluently.
Course Period: Depends on the student’s ability and pace.

Rules of Tajweed Course Outline

In this course, students will learn and practice the following Tajweed rules:

Makhaarij: Points of articulation for each Arabic letter.
Waqf: Rules of stopping and pausing during recitation.
Vowels: Proper pronunciation of Harakaat (Fatha, Kasra, Damma).
Qalqalah: Echoing effect on specific letters.
Sun and Moon Letters: Rules of pronunciation when “Al” is prefixed.
Rules of Izhar-e-Halaqi, Ikhfa, Idgham-e-Yarmaloon, Iqlab: Advanced Tajweed rules for specific letter combinations.
Rules of Izhar-e-Shafawi, Ikhfa-e-Shafawi, Idgham-e-Shafawi: Rules related to the letter Meem.
Reading Practice:
Surah Al-Fatiha.
Para 30 (Juz Amma).
Exercises: Practical application of Tajweed rules through reading exercises.

Requirements

To enroll in the Rules of Tajweed Course, students must:

Be able to read Arabic words fluently.
Have completed the Quran Reading Course.
Have knowledge of Harakaat (vowels), Sukoon (pause), Madd (stretching), Tanween (nunnation), and Shaddah (emphasis).

If you do not meet these requirements, we recommend completing the Quran Reading Course first.
